Tarot Cards Meanings
Many people are interested in tarot cards meanings. With so many cards in the deck of tarot cards, though, an article on how to read them would be the length of a book! What we have decided to do is to take a few of the different tarot cards and talk about the tarot card meanings of each of them. For this article we have chosen one card from each of the major suits.
The Wheel of Fortune (or The Lord of the Forces of Life): This card can mean success that is effortless, unexpected good fortune, luck or a change in Karma. If the card is reversed, it can mean unexpected bad luck, a person who resists change, interruptions that were not expected, delays, difficulties and it warns against gambling.
The Knight of Wands (or the Fire of Fire): This card, when upright can be sign of a person who is well liked, has a high energy level and is sometimes unpredictable. This person is very engaging and while you might not understand his actions now, they will make sense later. If the card is reversed, it signifies a person who is so enthusiastic that it turns off the people around them, who enjoys conflict, and will often make trouble for others just because they can.
The Eight of Cups (the Lord of Abandoned Success): When upright, this card signifies a turning point in a person's life. This turning point will involve situations or people from the viewer's past who have not been thought of in a while. It could also signify rejecting stable relationships and the making of progress to new and deep things. If it is reversed, the card signifies the abandonment of the current situation for an ideal that is often impossible. It shows risk, fantasy, recklessness and even restlessness.
The Three of Swords (the Lord of Sorrow): If the card is upright, it means extreme pain and sorrow. It can also mean a significant disruption of daily life though there will be a positive end. It is also significant of getting the ordinary out of the way to make room for new situations that are on their way. If the card is reversed it can mean being spiritually and mentally confused the breaking of a truce or quarrels with others.
The Five of Pentacles (the Lord of Material Trouble): If it is upright, this card is significant of material worries and the possibility of poverty. It warns of money trouble that might be on the way and it suggests that there might not be so many doors that are open to other people in your life. If it is reversed, you could be headed toward a long period of unemployment. It can also mean that there is some adversity that could have been overcome if you were less stubborn or showed greater imagination.
